Film Nation UK is pleased to announce the launch of Into Film. Our mission is to put film at the heart of children and young people’s learning, contributing to their educational, cultural, personal and creative development.

The Into Film name, replacing Film Nation UK, was chosen after consultation with our Education Advisory Group members from all four nations, as well as discussion and feedback from young people and teachers.

The new UK-wide programme of learning through and about film provides children and young people aged 5-19, regardless of background or ability, the opportunity to see, think, make and imagine.

Into Film gives them the chance to experience film and the moving image creatively and critically, as well as learning about the film industry and careers within it. In school, out of school, in cinemas or online, we ignite and cultivate their interest, and provide teachers and youth leaders with the tools and training to support engagement at all levels.

Future information relating to Into Film will be available on our brand new website, www.intofilm.org.

Visit www.intofilm.org for further details.

The Into Film programme has been informed by Education Advisory Groups established in Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and England. Into Film is supported by the BFI, together with funding from Cinema First and a number of other sources including the film industry and trusts and foundations. Into Film incorporates the legacy of two leading film education charities, First Light and FILMCLUB, and is a trading name of Film Nation UK.
